Professor Yu studied and graduated from the leading authority for Chinese medicine, the Beijing University of Chinese
Medicine, more than thirty years ago. Professor Yu went on to receive a masterdegree in acupuncture from the China
Academy of Chinese Medical Science. After attaining her master degree, Professor Yu returned to Beijing University of
Chinese Medicine as a professor of Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. Professor Yu researched, taught, and practiced for
over 30 years at the university. During her time at the university, Professor Yu visited renowned experts in her field throughout
China and learned from them many unique treatments for hard to treat medical problems. Professor Yu has published many
articles on medical journals, both inside and outside of China. Professor Yu has received multiple awards from leading medical
journals in China for her articles and multimedia publishing. Professor Yu holds multiple patents for acupuncture.
1978 - 1983 Studied at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, graduated with undergraduate degree in Chinese Medicine.
1985 – 1988 Studied at China Academy of ChineseMedical Science, graduated with masters degree in acupuncture. Received acupuncture patent.
Professor Yu's skills in practicing Chinese Medicine are renowned worldwide. Professor Yu has been
interviewed by mediasfrom China, Japan, Korea, United States of America, and Brazil regarding Chinese Medicine
and acupuncture. Professor Yu has been invited to speak and share her skills in practicing acupuncture in
multiple countries. In 2006, Professor Yu was invited to teach in Canada and she shared her knowledge in
Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa, and the Greater Toronto Area. At the end of her speaking tour, Professor Yu settled
in Mississauga to continue her acupuncture practice. In the past few years, not only did she gain great reviews
within Mississauga, many patients from other provinces come to seek her help due to her skills in
healing with acupuncture.
2000 – 8 city teaching tour in Brazil with demonstrations of practicing acupuncture.
Presenting at the Suzuka University of Medical Science in Japan. Invited to attend Academic Conference on International Exchange of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Toronto and presented at the event.
Invited to present academic report at the 10 year anniversary celebrationsChinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Quebec.
2005 – Received award at the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture International Academic Exchange Conference in Singapore.
2007 - Teaching at Vancouver. Taught international students in China.
2008 – Teaching at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine
